From Facebook 7/22/2013

“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Matthew 16:15-16 NIV.

One of the most profound lyrics I've ever heard, "...I'm free from the world and me..." (Beckah Shae "Simply Free"). When Yeshua asked Peter "who do you say I Am?" Simon Peter relented his love for the world, - and his life - by proclaiming "You ARE the Son of the Living G-d!" And even when he was martyred, Peter chose to be free from the world, not feeding into the fleshly desire to relent to his captures...

...We are all faced with the decision to either walk in His light, and be free from the world, or feed the flesh and accept sin into our lives and lifestyles. It seems daunting to get rid of what we once thought were our securities and nets in case we fell, but the only true security is in Messiah, Yeshua, and when we get rid of those faulty false nets, we can freely recline in His arms and experience true safety and love.

Waging War on a Battle that has Already Been Won?

"When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said, 'If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.' So God led the people around by the desert road toward the Red Sea. The Israelites went up out of Egypt ready for battle.  Moses took the bones of Joseph with him because Joseph had made the Israelites swear an oath. He had said, 'God will surely come to your aid, and then you must carry my bones up with you from this place.'” Exodus 13:17-19 NIV.

Right now, while having devotions, I asked myself a not-so-simple simple question: "Why do we insist on waging war on a battle that has already been won?"

I recently had the revelation that when we choose to wage war, we are simply wasting our energy on fighting something that is already defeated; very similar to stomping on a dead bug - It's already dead, and it's not possible for it to come back and cause us more terror and annoyance.  That is, unless we allow it to be revived... In the Name of Yeshua, we are capable of many mighty things (healing, intercession, and deep communication, etc...).  Likewise, if we entertain the adversary, we have the ability to command things here and there, but with severe repercussions.  It could mean literal death for us, or severe sickness, pain, or fear (to name a few things). If we command that dead little bug to get up and walk, it shall.

Be vigilant to walk in the Light of Messiah - Do NOT call things up that are dead, defeated, and squashed, but allow G-d to wash away the things that remain.  Allow G-d to heal and cleanse you, and wash away the dead bugs. For He is the abundant river of life, that cleanses all things!

Our G-d is an amazing G-d, and in His Name, I say that we have the ability to rest in His peace - just let Him into your heart, that He will meet you right where you are.

Praying for Cairo, Egypt...

"Wisdom reposes in the heart of the discerning and even among fools she lets herself be known. Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people. A king delights in a wise servant, but a shameful servant arouses his fury." Proverbs 14:33-35 NIV.

In Yeshua's Name, I pray for the peace of Egypt.  I pray that the nation will step up and reclaim it's position as the sibling of the chosen nation, Israel, as G-d, Yeshua has desired.  I pray that the people will be filled with clarity and revelation of the need for The Messiah, and come out from hiding, as a true ally to Israel and her people.

In Yeshua's Name, I pray safety over the civilians, safety over the military, safety over the leadership who are heading the protests, and revelation and safety over the opposing forces to a peaceful regime.  I aks Yeshua, on behalf of this nation, that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, that we shall stand in unity as believers and future believers, and proclaim the nation to the L-rd, G-d, Yehsua the Messiah of Israel!  I ask on behalf of those who are in confusion that a deep revelation of right and wrong will be shown into their hearts, like an irrepressible shining light - the Light that will never go out.  I pray for the believers in Your Name, that they will NOT fear, but step up to their plate, and listen to your direction.

We bless You, praise You, and magnify You L-rd.  We praise You even in trial and error, we praise You with our trumpets; praise You with our clapping hands; praise You with the cymbals, and the drums; praise You with the dance; praise You with our voice; praise You with stomping and proclaiming You Are Justice! Yeshua, You are sovereign, and no territory is outside of Your reach.  We, the believers throughout this earth, proclaim Egypt as Yours, and that You, L-rd, will form in him Your right hand.  I bring to You the people, and lift them up, so that they will NOT fall!

You are the mighty King who is Master of all things; in You there is strength and perseverance; in You there is NO death, but only life!  And in Your Name, Yeshua, we proclaim Life over the nation of Egypt, that he may spread forth like a rushing water, who swallows his enemies!

Praise You, L-rd our G-d, King of the universe, who has set forth to change the lives of the nations; and indeed, it shall be so...

...Amen.
