We Will Not Bow to the gods of Man

From Facebook:

Always seek the L-rd, that He may speak to you, even in times of doubt and fear. Know that He is with you. Any time we seek the L-rd's voice, we will hear Him - I used to read my bible and think, "this is not relevant for today, on to the next verse..." or I would just shut the bible completely. Seek the L-rd and His wisdom, and all scripture will be relevant to your day.

"Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." James 5:16, NIV.
Yes, always seek the Truth of the L-rd, for He is always willing to give you His wisdom!  Lately, I have been reading books relating to fantastical worlds - otherwise known as "Fantasy Novels"... it amazes me how, even those at a young age, and those who have never heard of our Messiah, have a born concept of good and evil.  There is not one person in this world who does not understand the concept of a higher G-d, and a lesser evil; however, many people have not only been born into sin, but have been born out of sin, thus skewing their perception of what "good" is. Speaking in terms of generational sin, we are not only taught from a young age (even from birth) what our parents and guardians consider "good" as well as "evil", but we are taught that anything that differs from what we consider normal is among the evils of this world...

Recently (in the past 10 years), this view has been torn from the biblical truth - we as believers are considered to be "abnormal"; we are different from what this generation knows as "normal", thus we have been ripped from society and called strangers within our own land, and often, within our own homes.  "See, the Lord your God has given you the land. Go up and take possession of it as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, told you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 1:21, NIV. Do not be discouraged is what the L-rd says concerning this and other things; those who are outcast for His Name's sake wear a badge of honor, and will be remembered in His Kingdom.

The youth of this generation are suffering, not only, from generational sin, but the seduction of sin based in secular humanistic pleasures - the sin of today is often masquerading as biblical truth.  Campaigns for the "freedom to choose" physical lust over the sanctity of biblical marriage; "the freedom to choose" one's death - whether physical or spiritual; "the freedom to choose" biblical laws... Those who choose not obey the laws of humanism are labeled as "closed minded," "prude," "repressed," or "sheltered."  Biblical truth is skewed by the demand to accept sin as a natural part of what human nature was intended to be.  Skewed so far that those who do not reject a person, but merely do not agree with a certain aspect, are cast into the fire of criticism, and burned for their own beliefs.  This is most prominent within the Christian and other believing communities, as we are among the most labeled in the known world - it is no longer acceptable in the secular community to abide by moral standings, but to abide by what part of ones body is tingling the most... It is true that Yeshua speaks of kindness and patience towards those who do not know Him, and even those who oppose Him, but this too has been twisted.  Many young people (and older generations as well) like to accuse Yeshua of being part of an unbelieving crowed - there have even been accusations of Yeshua being a homosexual.  Many of these people use these misinterpretations, and outright lies, as a means to justify their sin - the mean to justify the end... "Jesus's best friends were sinners!" or "Jesus hung out with hookers and tax collectors!" I have even heard, "Jesus used cuss words!" I can tell you for sure that Yeshua does love those who choose sin, but to clear up the misinterpretation of Yeshua's crew, indeed, they were all sinners - who repented, and began their lives anew following Him, their Messiah and G-d.  That is the truth about who Jesus's best  friends were... His friends are those who are willing to sacrifice their sin and give it to Him, who took our sin, and died and rose on the third day.

My prayer is for the youth - that no sin may appear to them greater than what the love of G-d has planned for them, and even the generations to come!  Seek the L-rd, desire to see His face and hear His voice, and not one word of His shall be  shut up from your soul.  We are all born with a hint of knowledge of His Holiness, yet through our trauma, through our sin, and through our choices, we gain further distance from His faith.  Yet those who repent, and begin their lives in His stride as we walk together... those who die to themselves, so that we may accept Yeshua's death for us all, may accept His resurrectio... we may be the ones who lose the closeness of this world, and gain the comfort of living under His wing.

And to those who facilitate anger, unbelief, hurt, abuse, and outright lies - the parents and guardians - may the L-rd reveal Himself so completely to you, that you cannot possibly deny Him.

Our generation is not lost, because He still knows that we are here...

  1. Thank you so much for your heart for this generation--and your defense of repetance. Turning to Adonai in vulnerability, prepared to die so that we may live, is the balm for our wounds. It's also a balm being withheld by so much of the church.

    Your work is appreciated!

    1. Thanks Chad, many people I encounter are stuck in the deception of secular humanism, where nothing matters except the moment where they seek pleasure (physically, emotionally, spiritually). My dream and prayer are that we (the younger generation) are at the forefront of the battle - taking the enemy by the horns and throwing him out of our lives.

Another thing is to not let fear be the center of our lives, but that's for the next blog... thanks for the feedback!

    2. Very well said. I will pray that beautiful prayer with you.
